Thank you ,
The 125 was supposed to be just a FOWLR,tank.
Just didn't work out that way.
I am wanting to convert the 125 in our beedroom to a
FOWLR tank,
Just cant give up the Frontosas and cat's,,,,
Maybe some day,,,,,,,,,,

Those are great! I have 9 tanks but probably don't add up to as much water as you have & several of them are FW. So how many tanks is that all together? Since when is a 54g a nano? :p

I have 4 tanks, 3 are reefs, and a 125 FW, that is actually my headboard.
I call the 54 the nano, cause it is the smallest tank we have,,,,,,,,,:)

How do you find time to do maintenance on your tanks?? That's a whole lotta work involved....

Paul
LOL, not as much as one would think.
I stopped obsessing , a long time ago,,,,,
I just do what is needed, when needed........
I actually only spend about 20 mins a day on all 3 reef tanks,,,,,,,,unless something happens, then I will spend all day...
like when my 3 giant Roses, decided to spawn all at once. that was a PITA!!!!!!
Or like when My large Toadstools got into it with a large acro,,,,,,, the acro lost,,,,,,,,:hammer: Drove me nuts,,,,,,,,,
but other then things like that,,,,,,,,, 20 mins a day,,,,,,,,,,,,

I've always thought of things like that, when folks say they don't have room for an upgrade. Or how about behind the couch?
What FW do you keep?

Ready for this????
I have 4 large Frontosas(cichlids), 3 large syndodonits(SP?) cat fish, 1 angelicus cat fish, a heard of 25 or 30 coryadoris(SP?) cats.\1 good sized Black angelfish, and now for the killer,,,,,,,,,,,,,
3 ,,6 inch Orandas, (goldfish), yes Gold fish,,,,,,,,
I have had them all for several years, all since they were an inch or smaller....

I did have tanks behind my couch in my other house,,,,,,,,

Boy & I thought I packed my FW tanks! I do 75% weekly WC on mine.
How are the nitrates in that tank?

Nitrites, niterates, amonia, all 0.0 ppm.Ph, is at 7.2..........I use well water run through the Cold Steril unit for top off and water changes,,,,,,,,,,,

I have boilogical as well as mechinical filtration.
Before I got my FX5, I used a single fluval 404........
I run nothing except reef carbon and the sponges in the tank.

I don't keep any rocks on the bottom of my tank to hold the "JUNK"
never would even think of using an under gravel filter, Holds "junk"
I have a BLK/WHT cichlid sand. and the fish stir it up, to keep it clean.
I have fresh water plants, that float around, and so on...........

I had a 125 for a headboard a few years back. It was a pain in the but. All the time getting bed wet in and out of the tank. I started too put wheels on the bed were i could move it back every time. But me and the tank gott threw out

LOL, My FX5 sits on a little table,(won't go in the small doors under the tank)
Hubby needs to cut an opening,,,,,,
but I only had to move the bed about every 6 weeks to change the carbon and clean the sponges out,
I love it, moon lights at night, and the sound of the water, knocks me out.
the tank is covered with glass lids,
