Well this poor hermit look stuck in some rocks and I was helping get it free and it fell right into my Sebae Anemone. I tried to get him back but the Anemone had a death grip on him. I am assuming he is a goner. Might explain a few hermits deaths I had. Is this normal for Anemone to eat hermits? You figure they be safe with the shell.

Mine are always moving about in and around my LTA and BTAs. They always seem to be okay and are able to escape. Not sure of the Sebae has more of a taste for them though.

Well I found the half eaten hermit but no shell. That's strange in itself, the shell had to go somewhere right lol. The anemone had a strong hold, it literally pulled my stick and hand to it when I tried to free the hermit, quit surprising strength. I figure best to let the anemone have the hermit, then risk hurting the anemone.

Agree, $1-$2 hermit is easily replaced. I don't think the sebae would just eat half and spit it out though. It's all or nothing. I've seen my other hermits rip one of the other one's on half.

Good point not sure if that was the same hermit, I started with ten hermits now just got 3 or 4 after a month. They where supposed to be blue legged hermits, but noticed a few that did not look the part.
