The only thing I would do differently is to get a bigger tank. Just not in the cards where I live right now. I have been incredibly blessed in the reboot of my standard 125 which I attribute a measurable part of that success directly to this forum!

That is a good question. I would have gone custom the first time and got what I wanted years ago. I would not bought an aquamaxx skimmer, could not get mine to work.

Welcome to R2R, this is such a wonderful group of saltwater enthusiasts. I would say I would have researched more, each of the major items I purchased for my system. Hate to think how much I wasted in impulse purchases. Also, my favorite tank was my 120

My tanks been up about 10 years so I can’t remember how I started so not sure what I would change. I would like to get a 300 fish only tank for triggers, parrots, puffers.
