Welcome!

I'll defer to others, but been told ideal calcium is 420-450, so I try targeting ~440 calcium

Hi there! Yes, your numbers are high but not catastrophic. You are doing the right thing. The water change will help but ultimately it will be consumed as you lower your dosing. Good call. My alk has gotten up there before... it came down. Patience and consistency is key. Once you get the adjustments right, it will require less attention. (By then you'll have something else to worry about - lol)
Welcome to the fishy family... you got this.
Happy Wednesday GIF
