Welcome to R2R! Post some pics of your tank when you get a chance. How is the quality of livestock in your country?

@Big G

Well hard to say because I dont know the quality in other countries. But I can tell you that we dont have so much LFS selling salt water animals and I think its pretty expensive compared to what Ive read about prices in the states for example. But still I think we have a decent selection of livestock over here.

Are you finding a lot of fish with disease and or parasites?

Welcome!!! Great that things have worked out for you. R2R is a great place for solid info and help. Let's see some photos of the fruits of your success!

Ok here you go, I didn't figure out yet how I can do better pics with my phone (does not look that much blue in real life) but for the moment it is what it is.

My very first SPS frags arrived a few days ago still acclimating (cross fingers that the tank and I can handle them). They're mounted on some plastic plugs and are already encrusted, not sure what to do with these plugs. I don't really want them in my tank but I'm also a little bit scared to cut the encrusted corals.

Refugium:
I don't really need the refugium at the moment because I'm trying to get my nutrients up. I started it because I thought that I had nutrient issues when I had algae but I figured out that in fact, I have zero nutrients. Dosing nitrates and phosphates at the moment. I'll keep it because I have it and I want to add pods at some point.

As I said in my first post I had a few setbacks because of disease and algae that's why I didn't add any livestock for a long time waiting for the tank to get more stable. I started to get new livestock only a few weeks ago and I hope that the tank will get some more color quicker now. But I don't want to rush things just one step after another. 20200221_115035.jpg
