Hi everyone,
I'm new to the salt water world but had spent my whole life around the fresh water world. Started up my first tank a few months ago with some help from posts from here while lurking with out an account.

My Tank is going through a fallow process because I noticed velvet on my clowns a few days ago, they're in a QT tank now.
But it gave me a chance to focus on my birdnest frag.... which has a unknown thing on the frag rock. I'm not sure what it is. Never noticed it cause that side is face at the back. 1000071668.jpg 1000071665.jpg

Welcome to your new home for saltwater reef aquarium resources and fun! Welcome to the family! :D

Welcome to R2R!
Hard to tell from the pic, can you snap one under more white lights? Possibly just a piece of the birdsnest that settled and is starting to grow out.

Welcome to R2R! I not sure what you showing there on that coral, but judging from the white base of that coral it looks like it's losing its tissue.
I figured the bird nest looked like that because I was given a fresh frag and there was a decent amount of glue used at the base when I bought it a few weeks ago. Should I be concern?
