Hello! My name is Rob and I am building my first reef tank and I'm super excited. My Ammonia is at 0 and I'm just waiting on my nitrites to drop. How long does that usually take? I'm at about day 9 since ammonia dropped to 0.

Hi Rob! Welcome to R2R! You'll probably see your nitrites drop in 1-2 weeks. and start to see nitrates:) Your tank is looking good! You should start a build thread and earn a badge! Let us know what other questions you have, lots of collective knowledge here. Again..

Welcome. Looking good so far. As stated, give it a couple weeks. You can speed up with bacteria supplements if you want to.

Welcome to R2R! There is no set number of days. There are so many factors when the bacteria will take over and get everything back to 0. But you are on your way. Cant wait to see the progress.
