Or a close relative, Escenius bimaculatus! If there’s a fish that is truly underrated I would say it’s the bimaculatus.

wish black tangs stayed like 1" would love to have 1 of them in the tank
If they did that, I don’t think the market would have all that variety of fish we have now haha.

Well think I'm going to have to order some more bottled bacteria still stuck at 1.5ppm has not moved for like 3 days
That’s normal IME, in my tank when I had it new, it took about 3-4 days before ammonia began to decline.

Thing is i think my bacteria arrived dead bought turbo start 900 and its ment to be kept refrigerated and was obv in delivery for 24+ hours it stunk aswell smelt like rotten egg

added some rock that was in my sump of my 90 and some rubble as well as fritz 9 hopefully it starts to cycle now cause its taking too long
I thought you started your tank with live rock?

That’s horrible. Did they also sell you the dead turbo start? Just to address the elephant in the room. Are you sure your test kit is testing correctly?

According to their site it’s suppose to smell horrible. What are the ALK levels in the tank. Low Kh inhibits the process.

i wish masterfisch still delivered to the uk there rock was fire insta cycled arrived soaking wet even though it had a 4 day delay for getting stuck in customs

I think if I had this much problems getting live rock I’d try my hand at making my own in a brute can with dry rock. UK sounds dreadful when it comes to available reef hobby stuff.
