All I can say is “WOW” !!!! Wouldn’t it be cheaper to take a trip to the Cook Islands and get one ? JS.
Probably would be if you were willing to get trained in a rebreather and dive to 400 feet. Of course you would still have to know where to find these fish.

The guy that collects these puts his life in danger every time he goes after them. I'm sure that's not the only reason they're expensive...super rare to be offered and very beautiful.

This may be a dumb question, but if this fish is used to living at 400 feet, how can it survive in 2 feet of water in an aquarium?
400 ft is about the maximum depth to find them. They range from shallow to that depth. Just seem to be very elusive
