So my tank has been cycling for about a month or so now. Live rock, and live sand. All my tests are looking good. I think I'm about finished. I have my heater out because I'm still stirring sand dust out (I was silly and didn't rinse) but my water stays around 74 even without. Tonight I was giving the sand another blast and noticed A small snail on the glass. I'm shocked that the little thing has survived cycling and sub par temperatures. I really feel for the little dude, and want to feed it ASAP, provided he isn't a "nuisance snail"
Sorry my pictures suck. He's super tiny and my camera isn't the best.

It looks Stomatella sp. to me. Good CUC. You can leave a part of the window unclothed near the sand. It will feed on the micro algae in the glass.
I'm cycling without a light while I build the hangers for it. I don't think I have algae yet. Is there anything else I can feed?

You do not see them, but they're already there.

You can try some piece of algae-based food, but he will hardly go for it.

See if your lfs has a little piece of rubble or a shell with some algae on it they would sell or let you have.
