A few things have been popping up in the tanks, so I figure it might not hurt to find out what they actually are.

What are the little white fuzzy things? Their population seems to shrink and grow, although I don’t think there is anything in the tank that would eat them.

What is the little pink thing on the bottom right? The one head died and the other seems to be fine so far, but I noticed the pink thing with little polyps tonight.

And last but not least, one of my shrimp scared a small fuzzy white crab out of the rock. It unfortunately darted back under before I could get a picture, but I’m thinking probably a Gorilla crab.. Is there anything else it might be? It was only about 1/2 a cm, quite fuzzy, and solid white.

Am I correct in reading that hydroids sting? Any suggestions for removing them? And yes I had seen the bubble algae, we’ll work on removing that as well.

I figured it was a sponge on the lps because the other side seems to have an orange sponge as well, but I also thought it looked like some type of softie. I’ll see how it grows.

I'm not aware of any full proof solutions to eradicate hydroids. Manual removal or waiting for the population to eventually die off are the only options I know of. And I never had any luck with either...
