Anyone have an idea about what this is that is growing on this snail. At first it looked like a small fin, but it has enlarged and looks like a purple plant. Should I lose the attachment or the snail, or wait for a moving plant to fully develop?

I assume that from the comment “cool hitchhiker” I should proceed with ‘wait for a walking plant to develop’. No harm to the display tank from this attachment and no harm to the snail?

It's a type of macro. Easily removable if you dont want it in the display and is no harm to the snail.
