Getting ready to setup a HOB eshopps pf-800 overflow and sump. Can’t drill my tank! And im nervous that I could have an overflow at some point so im thinking about hooking up a float switch on my return in case of power outage. Any suggestions to prevent an overflow in case I have a siphon break/power outage?

Depending on the overflow it will maintain syphon until 1 of the ends in the u-tube comes out of the water. You can always put a float upside down in your sump. If the level goes under it or triggers the float it means water is not returning to the sump and then it will turn your return off.
