Recently got a sump and hob overflow. Think it’s the eshopps 800. Works great but my plumbing always has a leak from the overflow bulkhead down to the sump. Is there a really easy way to do this? Like just with 1 tube? Someone please lmk with pictures or instructions! Need to fix this asap because I’m losing water even though it’s only drops I can see my sump level dropping day after day.

Some of that water you're losing is from evaporation to. Keep an eye on your s g.

Did u buy a used one? If so I would replace the bulkhead tighten the nut and make sure the gasket is on the inside of the over flow

No I bought it new. My bulkhead is water tight, however it is (I think) 1 5/8" so right from the start I have problems. I fit a 1 1/2" flexible PVC tubing around it, but then had to start my plumbing from 1 1/2" flexible PVC tubing, and it would be nice to have a threaded connection to start from

When I looked up your overflow box it stated it is a one inch bulk head. In that case all you need is a 1” slip to barb fitting that you would glue to your bulk head and then add 1” pvc tubing to your sump

Bump on this. I also have Eshoppes 800 and was hoping to see some examples, and work from there.
Got mine to work but it’s a permanent solution. Just took some safe silicon and outlined where the leak was, let it dry and was working just fine!

Home Depot / lowes has lots of options for silicon, loctite seemed to be the strongest and best

So rather than the 1.5 flexible tubing that then went to a 90 degree turn with various adapters to get a 1 in PVC pipe eventually to the refugium. I got frustrated with it and took apart the refugium and have regretted it ever since. Lol

This is what i need to connect to
Take the bulkhead off, run to the hardware store and see what PVC pipe can fit in it. I can’t remember what size I used but there is one that will fit flush

The bulkhead gets connected on the inside. The threads on the outside are for the nut that secures the bulkhead. A slip connection is what it sounds like you have, and this will slide right up into the bulkhead

But the way you’re describing might work. Might be a little bit more work though idk! Whatever works. In reality all the bulkhead is a watertight seal
