I have had a feather duster for awhile now, probably about 6 months and he was doing great. Showing his crown almost all the time. I just recently added a very timid pygmy angel to my tank and so all of a sudden, and huge hole has appeared in my feather duster tube. I haven't seen the pygmy pecking at it and I don't think it is the culprit but I might be wrong. The FD is still opening up but not as often. Will the tube heal back? Also, I feed oyster feast once a week for him.
Ill try to get a pic in the morning.

They can rebuild their tunes like crazy when they feel the need. They can also leave the tube if they arent happy. I wouldnt worry yet. Just monitor it

Will do :) Thanks
I was thinking about giving it to a friend of mine as a tank warming gift but I don't want to give him an unhealthy FD.

Its hard to tell in the pic tbh...also they like their turbes mostly burried in the substrate. Im sure he is on they... if he loses his crown id worry more but even then they can grow em back. As long as it doesnt leave the tube hes happy

Thank you. I tried to bury is tube when I got him but it was too hard. No matter how deep I buried it the tube would just pop back up so I left it.
