Hollywood stunner question.

I have a large stunner 8" and several large stunner frags. People and research says they have long feeder tentacles. I have been on the look at for them for some time now. Randomly checking at different times of night or when I wake up for the midnight glass of water. BUT I have never seen them. How and when have yall seen these tentacles?

For what it is worth, I kept a large colony for over a year and never saw any either. Maybe only if they feel overcrowded by other, aggressive coral?

I have about a 5 inch colony that has a few outlying areas of growth from accidental fragging around it. I see sweepers usually early in the morning, which seem to recede after the lights come on, then later in the evening shortly after feeding and into the night.

The second picture isn't great, but you can see one of the sweepers fairly clearly, looks like a thin string of mucus with sort of a ball at the end.

Not entirely sure why they come out, but light and feeding schedules seem to influence mine.

Feeders come out when the lights get low and/or when food is added that triggers a feeding response like amino acids or reef roids.

A few years ago I was forced to give away I giant colony of stunner because no one would buy it for to the sweepers. For a semi empty tank is a great choice, but in a crowded tank this chalice causes some problems.

I guess mine is like a 6" plate and I also have never seen sweepers.

I see long sweepers on mine pretty often. I don't know for sure if it is for food or defense. I've never tried to feed it, since it grows so fast already and probably doesn't need it.

I have one that’s around 5 or 6 inches wide and I see the sweepers all the time every night when the lights are off. The sweepers are like 5 inches long o_O
