lol - that was hilarious! I’ve learned a politically-correct word today so thank you!

I was going to pick up a 6” sohal from a buddy this weekend but hearing all these “rectum openings” of a fish, I’ll back off.
Gotta learn to get by the censors but still get your message across. 😏

These two together

Definitely love the achilles! Second would be the purple zebra!

Here's a shot a while back with both.

Love my Achilles. If you're struggling to keep them due to ich sensitivity, look into the H202 dosing method from Humblefish. Helped mine recover from a pretty bad outbreak and build up his immune response. I no longer have to dose, but keep a bottle on standby if I see any spots on him.
Do we just Google, "H202 dosing method Humblefish?" Much appreciated!

Did anyone shout out the Gem tang yet? Definitely on my bucket list. Not my photo

I have one, and love it! It is really a gem! The picture is old, she is twice bigger and fatter now. Tastes differ - someone wrote that he prefers the black tang over a gem, but myself, I would never get a black tang. Would love to acquire an Achilles, though...

I've been keeping my eye out for a nice A. Fowleri -- a stunning and supposedly more peaceful tang. Meanwhile, I like these two. I've had the desjardini for almost a year. It was one of the first fish when I started this tank. The Chocolate Tang is a new addition. I bought it from one of AquaSD's coral displays a couple months ago. I usually only by fully quarantined fish but couldn't pass this guy up. It was healthy, peacefully coexisting with other tangs and they had him for a couple years. I did a very thorough QT (copper, metroplex, three praziquantel baths) and just moved it to my main display a few weeks ago. It was the replacement for the murderous Kole tang I pulled out after watching it kill my regal angel. Hoping the Chocolate tang will be more peaceful, which it is so far.

Here's my lieutenant tang back when he was a wee lil guy. Had for years but eventually got in the habit of creating a tital wave across my tank so it could watch it splash out the ends. Otherwise such a phenomenal fish with its powder grey and blue accents.

Love my Achilles... going strong for 6-7yrs? Definitely have taken a number of precautions to accommodate it.

How big was he when you got him? I do love Achilles. What kind of precautions did you take?

Fit inside the palm of my hand.
- QT ahead of time of course. Displayed ich after putting in QT.
- Last fish added and several months later at that to see if any pathogens showed up.
- Sent in a pcr test for a disease check as well. Yes these results have mixed opinions and the pcr can be flawed but it's the best tool available that I know of.
- Isolation in the display to avoid stress.
- Everything goes in an QT before my system.
- Added more flow and VCA random flow generators for behavior health.
- Keep a light stock of fish for a 300 gal.
