So, i plan on making a frag rack for my new frag tank. Its a 30 long..

Im going to go the PVC/Egg crate method.

i will have two different levels lower in the front and a higher one in the back of the tank with the filter in the middle.

so the back will have two spilt racks.

My question is how do you get the racks to stay place?

i was thinking of adding the racks while theres no water in the tank and super glueing the pvc legs to the glass.

Any suggestions would be great!

I seen a local reefer use a piece of egg crate glued to a cleaning magnet. Seemed to work well for him and he was able to set quite a few frags on it too.

Also, I have a chance to get this 24 inch tek light for for 40 dollars

Do you guys think it will suffice for everything but sps? The tank is 36 long and 16 deep.

That light will easily grow sps directly under the light.

Andrew calvo

Awesome example, gives me something to work with, love the different levels. I'm also going to go bare bottom. So far for flow I have a HOB filter and hydor 440. Going to add another power head soon.

I cut up egg crate and left the tips on one end and superglued them together. It turned out nice and strong. And, it only took a few minutes.

Yeah it will grow sps under that 24" of light but probably not outside of that on the ends of the tank
