I’m looking to add some life to my two month old tank. I’m waiting on fish from Dr. Reefs (in quarantine) and have a small cleanup crew in the meantime. I have one Nirvana zoa frag on the frag rack but I’d like to take advantage of the coral sales this month. I’m looking for zoas, favia, and maybe chalice if it’s not too soon. Any other suggestions? No GSP, Clove polyps or Leathers. This is my third reef tank but I’ve never ordered corals online before.

Based on your past experiences, what is the best way to take advantage of the online sales?

Thanks everyone!

Tank details:
-Water box 110.4 started with dry Marco in display and 15# live rock from KP in the sump. Recently added 15# live sand from TampaBay Saltwater.
-Two ReeFi Uno Pros for lighting running the default LPS setting but shortened the time duration.
-Salinity: 35, Phosphate: 0.03, Nitrate: 7.5, Alk 9.3 (up for now to try to encourage some coraline growth), Ca:415, Mag: 1260 (slowly bringing calcium and magnesium back up using All-For-Reef).

Top Shelf Aquatics Black Friday sales have been pretty decent the past few years but IMO I would look in the livestock sale forum here on R2R. I have bought lots of corals from there at killer prices all year long. You also tend to get bigger frags and freebies as well.

That’s a great tip! I’ll check that out.
I’ve been watching TSA, WWC, and Tidal Gardens for their sales to hit.

Any other suggestions?

If you don't see anything in the livestock section you can go to the "want to buy" forum. You would be surprised how fast you can get unique stuff there.

I never considered that. That might be a great way to find a specific species as well.
