How do I dislodge a carpet anemone

Hey guys ive got a bit of problem, got a carpet nem no where close to the sand bed, lodged himself quickly when i ran out to truck to get some grab grabbers and he lodged in two minutes....any ideas?

odds of survival not being close to sand?

A metal object near his foot till he let go or icecubes under need him.

Ice cubes rubbing the foot have worked for me. It is slow going though.

If he is lodged there, why not just leave him? After all he is going to go where he likes no matter where you place him.
