I have some sort of bubble algae starting to grow everywhere in my tank. It's starting to tick of my corals too cause it's growing on them. It's not bad yet but I'm trying to nip it at the bud. How do I get rid of this algae? My nutrients are all at 0 I'm assuming it's because the algae is consuming them. I have turf algae as well but that's not as big of a problem as the bubble algae because it's easy to remove and my crabs munch on it sometimes.

I cant really get a good look, could be cyano or dinoflagellates but if nutrients are truly zero that could be the cause.

Try increasing food a touch or put your skimmer on a timer and decrease the time its is skimming by say half at first. See if this allows your nutrients to get above 0.

The algae is long hairs that go straight up with bubbles on the end. I feed alot and my nutrients are still 0 and have been since I started the tank. I am running gfo right now which is probably the cause but I'm waiting for chaeto algae in the mail right now to replace the gfo

I would turn off the gfo entirely. Microscopic phytoplankton has numerous ways to outcompete other organisms when nutrients are low. Cyano can nitrogen fix from NO2, dinos can consume other microfuana. I would actually hold off on the chaeto tbh.

I found out they are dinos according to lfs. They recommended manual removal and chaeto to outcompete algae

Had same problem. I increased flow and increased my return pump pointed nozzles to agitate the water and helped alot.
