sorry if this is the wrong forum but I’m not sure what category this falls under.
I have a 30 gallon biocube that has ich in it. For now the ich is under control and my fish are not showing visible symptoms. But I know it’s still in there.
On the contrary I have a 100 gallon tank that was just set up a few months ago. The fish in the 100 have all been quarantined with copper and are ich free as well as the tank. I think I would know if any ich got in because 4 small tangs are in the 100 gallon and have had no signs of ich under close observation for a week and a half. (Yes I know the tangs will outgrow the tank pretty quickly. I’ve made arrangements between a friend and my LFS to rehome the fish when they grow)
The bottom line is that one tank has ich and the other is probably ich free. I want to move corals from the 30 gallon with ich to the ich free 100 gallon.
What can I do to make sure no ich hichikes it’s way into the 100 gallon on the coral frags? Any dips or quarantine techniques? Or is it impossible. My fall back plan is to go fallow on the 30 to get rid of ich in there and then move my corals. But I’m really hoping there’s a faster or easier way.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
