How do you guys prefer your frags to arrive...?

When I first started out, I loved the frags on the little frag plugs, but now... I'm beginning to prefer just mounting them myself. Makes it much easier for me to pick the location of the frag, plus the shape it will grow into.

If I'm doing some local trades or buying at a swap, unmounted would be fine. But for shipping I prefer them to be mounted to something...just because then the coral can be easily floated where it will not rub on the corners of the bag.

Same here. :)

I chose unmounted but if that was not an option then I would go for LR rubble because it's a lot easier to find a spot in my aquascaping for rubble than to try to put a frag plug anywhere other than on the sandbed

Live rock rubble because it blends in the tank immediately and it has better overall appearance. I don't mind plugs and discs for a frag tank, but to me they don't look very good in a display until completely covered.

I like mine unmounted. I have gotten some attached to styrofoam and that was great, but not an option (easy to get off and frags never exposed to air).

Yes I like this as well.

Ideally I like them mounted and floated upside down. I would then do whatever necessary to safely remove the coral and mount it myself.

I like unmounted simply because it saves the frags from more stress when I remove them from their plugs to mount on my rockwork.

frag plugs can be trimed to look like rubble unless completely encrusted so then you just cut the tail off to mount and for shipping you cant beat a frag plug.

I'm a plug guy, Put it in the egg crate till it gets bigger, break off branches or cut out frags when I find a spot in the display...

I agree! Cut off a few polyps, mount them in the display, grow out the rest for trading! :D

In water. (unlike the frag I got today) ((single tiny ziplock bag with all the water leaking all over the box))

I am the same way. Mounted and stuck in foam so it is always under water. Then straight to the frag tank for observation and grow out.
