How does this happen?

I am fairly certain this is a coral but I am unsure what kind. The bigger question for me is how did it get here? I have not added anything to this tank for months. There are only two corals in the tank that I think it could be and they are pictured below.
I did recently move the tank and I had not noticed this prior to the move. Any thoughts?

Did u get live rock or dry rock l, if it was live rock it could have came from that.

Manufactured rock that was put in tank over a year ago. Like I said I have not added anything into this tank for months, December I think.
