I have had a female for 6 or so years now but she has started to lie down during the day only swimming to really feed these last 2-3 months. Im not sure if she has just reached the end of her days sadly

dang, ik it probably is but i am glad she always stayed true to herself, never becoming a male all this time ive had her. She knows who she is

She was medium sized when i got her so hard to tell exact age for her. I have never really seen lyretails very small before either tbh most come in pretty sizeable.
Its all good, i have given her a good, well fed life and it seems like its just about her time. She was purchased in 2015 or 2016 in a 34 then transfered to a 75-80 gallon tank where she was the boss (or really queen) for all her life

this was last week in amother tank transfer to the innovative marine nuvo 50 ext (close to same size at 30 x 24 as my 80 gal was 36 x 24 but now shallower, should be all good)

my old tank was used before i got it so i really wanted something nicer to replace it. the footprint being very similar and there no large internal overflowbox anymore, it seems all my fish are perfectly comfortable. she was doing the hiding and lying down way before the tank move
