how long does the media last in a recirculating co2 scrubber?

As the title says, how long does it last on average?

I Have a high demand aquarium. I only use a single chamber CO2 Scrubber.

What on your graph marks the 3 week time period? Trough to the start of the plateau of your pH? Or does it quickly rise to 8.3s and stay for that long? Your graph doesn't give time.

The pH graph is a daily graph. I know when to replace my CO2 media when graph bottoms out below 8.

Nice info to have since I estimated 1 month use of my media. I know it'll vary between households, but useful data nonetheless as a benchmark to work with for those of us without pH meters. Thanks for posting.

You may actually get more than a month. When I first started with the CO2 Scrubber over a year ago, I would get over 2 months before I had to change media.

It will last longer if you air your house out and get the co2 outside. I will not last long if you keep your house closed up tight all the time. Ambient co2 in your home is the main factor, but it is in tank pH too.

Question? I have my CO2 scrubber hose connected to my silencer, which is indeed connected to my venture. That way I can adjust the air and the skim. So I know the air is circulating through the canister but yet I have not seen any color change in the media. Does anybody have any idea why it shouldn’t be changing color I’ve had it on there for at least a month.
