Use a measuring cup and clock or watch and measure the waste flow for exactly one minute then measure the treated water for exactly one minute. It should be very close to 4:1 waste to treated.
If you have a Spectrapure system they use a capillary tube flow restrictor that can be cut and adjusted, if you have most any other brand then you may need to get a capillary tube as their fixed restrictors are non adjustable.
