I recently added a Bluestar Leopard Wrasse to my tank, but unfortunately, my Coral Beauty didn't take kindly to the new addition. Every time the wrasse appears, the Coral Beauty aggressively chases it. Since the introduction, the Coral Beauty has also become more hostile toward the other fish in the tank.

Eventually, I managed to catch the Coral Beauty and have placed him in a section of the sump to give the wrasse a chance to settle in. However, the area he's in is only about 25 litres. How long can I safely keep him there tocurb his aggressive behavior but not overly stress him out and allow the wrasse to acclimate?

That's not going to work, obviously. I hope there's a lid.
Hmm I don't think you can change that behavior. How big is the tank?
The CB is probably already stressed, you may just have to rehome the fish. That's too bad you got an aggressive one, I love CBs.

Good luck.

Tape a 12x12 inch mirror to the front of your tank. Leave it in place for 3 days and see if that helps. This is how I calmed my CB down in my tank.

Funny I just posted a similar question today but with a whitetail bristletooth. Haven’t really gotten a direct answer but I think I’m going to leave mine for 4 weeks which is the normal length I typically qt. Though my sump chamber is twice your size. After I will introduce in via an acclimation box first to see how it reacts near the same two fish it was harassing.

omg I just posted a similar question but about a wrasse. honestly, I had a clownfish who I had to sump for 6 weeks in the refugium, it did reset her. I had her for 12 years, no issues after her sump prison sentence
