I have used mine for over a year now. For me, its worth its weight in gold just for the PO4 and No3 due to ease of use. Every now and then, I compare my results to my Red Sea pro kits just to make sure everyone is still within limits. The additional $4.99 cost for the 570 marine items for the app are a onetime charge.

The MOST important thing it to make sure is that you use up-to date reagents. When they go out of date, THEY WILL not read correct so don't blast the unit if you cheap out and try to stretch them past use date. I have my main unit and a backup and won't ever have a marine tank with out them . I sold two extra units to fellow members and from what I see, they are also happy with theirs.

I buy Reagent directly from the manufacturer site that way I have the freshest possible. Tim in support is amazing and will help you with any question. However, they don't have tons of techs so do you due diligence and read the manual and instructions for your specific test before you send a simple silly question. If anyone has any questions or a problem, I may be able to help you thru.

From what I understand, the Micro 20 as well as the original IDip are totally different from the IDip Marine. I’m not sure the app software will even let you use a different unit then 570 for tests.

On their website they have a micro 20 marine starter kit, along with reagents to test everything the 570 offers

Quite the price difference, I just couldn't find any info on accuracy differences of the Micro20 vs the 570... unless it's hidden on another page.

That's a new one. @eXact iDip® can you tell us about the new kit?

Joni just emailed me back and said “Yes, the Micro 20” can also do all of our marine measurements. I’m all for the company and ease of use but there’s no way I’d spend $754 on a Micro if the less expensive marine is still available for $349. More accurate or not.

Well for me it depends on how much more accurate and how low of range it can test.

Example: I would love the ability to test NO3 below 2ppm, or PO4 being highly accurate in the .05-.01 range

what does the ammonia portion of the reader say regarding a working reef?
