My consumption is growing very very quickly. I’m not really sure I am even keeping up with my consumption. I have to do manual adjustments often to bring me back to 8.3.

475g system
- CARX 18 hours on 120ml 6.55 ph 22 Dkh affluent
- 4g of kalk over night. My total evaporation is 9g, so I have plenty of room
- 300ml of sodium hydroxide and 250 ml of bicarb (<8.50 is hydroxide >8.50 is bicarb)
-250-350 calcium, I don’t really struggle with CA

Sand is not hard. No signs of precipitation.

I’m wondering if I should extend my kalk period and increase it a few gallons.

Try leaving calcium reactor on 24/7. Why not run alkalinity at 9-10?

I was running at 9.5 but someone I trust suggested I back it down. I am thinking about raising it again over time. I’d like to speed up some of the growth some.

My 75 gal tank consumes around 3.5dKh of Alkalinity a day, and about 25 ppm Calcium.

So if it were at 9dKh this morning and the doser failed it would be about 5.5 dKh tomorrow morning.
