THE BEST COMMENT EVER!!!It all depends on which receipt your looking at Lol. The real receipts probably 15k-20k and the LFS made up wife's receipts probably $1000 if not less. If she really knew what I spend LOL.. I’d be sleeping in my shed..

100%I think the fact that we're willing to openly admit how much we've spent is a testament to how much we love this hobby
I would pay good money to watch that conversation. "it's actually your fault honey" HAHAWell, she wouldn't move to the beach so I had no other choice.
I'd say a good bit more than that if you include livestockI figure by the time you are a few years in and have a system working well it's about $50 a gallon.
yes. This hobby is expensive even if you buy everything used. I’m wondering in the first few months/year…how much did you spend on everything? I’m curious. I just did some math and 2 months into it with a 20 gallon tank I’ve spent around $1,500 USD! I also realize like anything you acquire things overtime and most don’t buy everything they’ll ever need all at once. It’s hard and addicting lol. And omg coral is so expensive especially considering some frags are hundreds or thousands of dollars. But I will say it’s something I saved for but never expected to spend this much.
Im in a 15 gallon, I can confirm this is falseI figure by the time you are a few years in and have a system working well it's about $50 a gallon.
