Title says it all, say in a 20 gallon breeder connected to a 40 gallon breeder tank, how much space will need to be adequated in each one. For each species like percula, occy, maroon, etc. if you know that would be awesome

20" length for occy, perc, skunk
24-30" for others

minimum space needed to maximize area for breeding, this is not up i will also add and if i did i would add a large sump for biofiltration

ty for quick response. Do you breed at all? also do you know total area (L x Wx H)
I have 2 breeding pairs of occy. But I work for the largest clownfish breeder in the country. Just look at the dimensions of a 10 gallon tank for minimum size for small species and a 20 tall (roughly) for larger species

ok gotcha, i wasnt sure if breeding pairs could be housed in smaller aquariums like 20 longs divided in 4 with black dividers and 1 anemone i each cell as they never seem to travel far anyway.
That might be considered a bit cruel though but wasnt sure about clown as they can almost live through anything so it hard to tell how happy they reall are (been in it awhile too seen a lot of stupid stuff)

10 gallon will work fine for most clowns or divding the 20 long will work fine they don't really need much room they stay very close to there host anemone anyway.
