How often would you say you clean your lids? I have a full coverage lid on my tank to prevent my wrasses from jumping, and it gets a decent amount of salt creep along the sides/rim so I clean it with vinegar and water at least once a month. If you do not have any lids how often do you clean your glass/acrylic?

I have a full glass lid and once a month cleaning is a minimum but only as a try to do a water change every 2-3 weeks currently as time allows. Only makes sense to clean em as I take em off during water changes.

I do the same and my tank also has full glass lids.

I don't think I ever cleaned my lid once. A little hard to clean mine since it was a mesh lid!

I have glass lids on my main tank, and my freshwater tank. I clean both once a month. My 15 gallon has mesh lid. I only wipe down the top when I do a water change.

I have covers on mine to try and help with evaporation, so I should clean them more than I do. But I probably clean them with water and a sponge monthly but try and wipe them off weekly when I clean the glass.

I'm curious with all-glass lid, doesn't all the salt creep interfere with lighting for your corals?

I have glass lids and salt creep is not as bad as you would think. Its is mostly only around the edge which is the same with a mesh lid. Mine does however develop some thin film green algae in places that I clean off as needed.

Whenever its needed, lol.
Salt builds up on the screen due to high flow.
Flow is high enough that I have the lid on upside down so its better but salt still builds up.

Everyday I wipe the condensation off if that counts. I also sit there and turkey bast all the poo up I see everyday and clean the glass everyday. I put mine right next to my bed so I can always see whats going on and what needs to be done.

I have a DIY mesh lid and I guess I clean it monthly. The salt creep definitely can block lighting eventually, so I just take it out, put it in my sink and rinse it well with hot water to dissolve the salt build up.
