I just bought a ghost ribbon eel, he’s about 10 inches long. He’s not very big so I was just wondering how often should a feed him like every 3 days or once a week, and also how much food at one time should I give him. Today I gave him one whole silver side and he took the whole thing which made me happy because he hasn’t ate all week since I bought him. But idk if I should give him more or not. NEED HELP please I don’t know much about ribbon eels

Every 3 days is a good rule of thumb. They will let you know when they are hungry by becoming more active. Usually feed them their full, as much as they want, they will retreat when they are full. When small feeding may be more frequent, and when more mature once a week would be fine. Each eel is different so you will settle into his routine after a while, thing to remember; in the wild they eat on a gorge/fast routine. So feed him his full, let him fast until he gets active, hunting around; then feed him again. Some even feed their eels less frequent than once a week.

And what I’m thinking about getting one

Mine eats krill, and cut up silversides. Usually about 6-8 krill a week are what I hand feed, but I don't know if it's picking up anything else left floating around the tank. Sometimes it goes a week without any interest in hand feeding.

I have never heard of a ribbon eel showing any interest in pellets, they need larger, meatier foods for them to pay it any mind. Unless you are dealing with an extremely small specimen mysis are likely too small as well.
