youtube from back in 2006 had glitches that wound up over the years deleting segments of my old movies uploaded from my picos. Ill search again but I think it dang deleted the few mins of screen time I had that showed a nine inch bobbit worm curled up in a one gallon pico vase, not a joke, I hated the alien. no frag was safe, he'd unplant them and use it to seal a hole in the pico.

at any time he could pull back fully into a rock I was using real holey reef rock/old school and he got to live in the bowl years, causing me turmoil, when I disassembled it I threw his dead carcass roughly into the trash can, with a stomp.

I know some people say to keep them but I cant bare to have one in my tank and based on the shells nears his dwelling and frag p lugs I'm sure he was going to grow to be a tyrant

Re scaped everything after letting it all dry outside for a few days actually happy with this scape

Its kinda of simple to catch but be patient. I did it a long time ago. I have 3 more in my tank. Love them guys. They don't do anything. No missing fish no missing corals because its not a bobbit type. Bobbitt are Eunice worms. There are many types of Eunice worm most are just scavengers but some are predator aka Bobbit.
Here is my post with a link to the trap. Just have to be patient and you will get him out completely.

My video is in your other thread. I am not convinced yours is Bobbitt worm. But I am not convinced it is not. Lol.

Traps rarely work. I had traps in when mine should have been smaller and they never worked.

Read above the trap I posted, it works perfect. You have to be patient and pull the string at the right time. As you can see I caught mine completely, not half lol

Sadly I don't even like how it got the bobbit name. Lorena...
The word eunice worm was because they believed a certain act took place after reproduction rituals.

The one you caught was the body shiny? How thin was it?

IME Traps are useless for the ones that eat fish and coral because they tail end stays in its den. The head comes out to eat only - unless you disturb their den.
