So I bought 4 clowns this last weekend. I also bought a multi-color BTA. None of the 4 clowns are even looking at the anemone. Is there a way to encourage hosting? This would increase my waf (wife acceptance factor) immensely.

Thanks for any input

yep, is there a clown limit? Oh no look at the avatar.......Clown Police! Even more rare than the Tang police..lol sorry couldnt help the sarcasm.

Picked up a couple snowflake lookin ones and a black occelaris. There is a chart somewhere that tells likelihood of for pairing and I think the guaranteed number is 8 fish

lady that reads like sarcasm (in my best orson wells impression)

lulz, Yes, because sometimes its good to see if someone is using the paring up technique or if they are an idiot. This was just a test. Remember lotsa goofy people out there

feeding them next to the nem is one method as they go after the food they get stung a bit and just naturally take to it as instincts enjoys the feeling, etc.

Yup i have heard many using this technique with decent success...as funny as it sounds or looks!

You could also section them off or isolate them in an area with the anemone.

bretha I could use the same technique as fish stores for pairing

you know have 2 in the same tank.

I will def try it.
I dont know if I could partition it off like that Rev because of my rockwork.

I have been trying to take pics of the nem, hes a nice multi-color I got cheap. But these new leds are making pics difficult

Were they captive bred? If so, they may not host because they dont know to. So the picture might work.

Feed them well and if they are happy...they will host anything near them..currently i have my Latz host my zoanthids colony and i see the colony doesn't get stress from it...so i leave them alone...

got a link to this chart???? never heard of it i have never had luck with more than 2 clowns "single pair" even in my 300...
