At my workplace there is a large Creole Anthias who lives in isolation in an 180 gallon tank for being too much of a tyrant to its tankmates. The tank it was moved from was an 210-220 gallon reef tank, with a large sailfin, a foxface that it would bully, a sailfin blenny, and a sixline wrasse. People have started talking about turning the Anthias’ tank into a FOWLR tank, and I was thinking a good addition would be a lyretail hogfish. However, I’m worried if I add a small one the Anthias will maul him and if I add a fully grown one he’ll gut the Anthias. How should I approach this?

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
