How to kill ich

The ich was eradicated, but 4 fish survived and all was good! Haven't lost a fish to ich since, in that tank.

Wait, wait, hold up! Did you have anything in your tank through your alk spike? Because I had a similar thing happen to me, but with a freshwater tank a couple years back.

yes the wrasse and the gobies and clownfish. (everything else died the inverts and corals)

Oh, so some fish have resistance like I thought! That's pretty cool. Are any of the survivors captive bred?

Because I'm guessing it has to do with the geographical location more so than the species. But I would say that you either found a whole new species of minuscule invading invertebrates that look like ich, or it was just an anomaly.
