Just got a toadstool, not had one before, is there a specific way to mount these on rock?

the toadstool came on a disc held in place with string, it wasn’t glued down, aren’t you meant to glue toadstools?

They slime up which is why they use string. I typically put them in a container with rubble until they attach. It usually takes a couple weeks.

Are you meaning mushrooms? As I was referring to toadstools.

Toadstools easily detach within a day or two from glue.

Toothpick thru the base of the stem then rubberband the toothpick to a rock. After a couple weeks u can pull the toothpick out and it will be permanently attached to the rock.

So they attach the same as a mushroom? Leave with rubble and they attach to it?
Yes. Rubber banding them also works.

Wedging into the rockwork won’t really work if the flow is strong.

Leathers are famous for producing mucous/slime when fragged. They are fairly slow to attach. As others stated wedging them in rocks works as well.

Wow didn’t know this, the poor thing has been glued twice now, it was fully open within an hour of going in the tank, then I go and mess up.

Thanks all.
