I'm not sure why you're debating the worthiness of steel in a container of saltwater nor am I certain of what a butterfly fish has to do with anything but I'm intrigued as mike is is... Please carry on... You mentioned you read my first post... Please enlighten me as to how you've gotten here? A phd huh? That's very impressive!!!!

I try.
Ps. For short term exposure I believe stainless is superior for saltwater environments. I could be wrong... but I'm not. I wasn't suggesting a tank full of stainless steel chicken wire. Give me a little credit. I was recommending a tiny glass globe!!!

You mention it here as superior, then confidently proclaim you're not wrong, and you are.

Someone else mentioned chicken wire. I was being sarcastic. Who puts chicken wire in a reef tank?! Whenever I've got doubt as to the seriousness of such a post I checkout the persons other posts.

Today I found my CB nipping at my scoly, a defense punishable by death. However seeing as I can't catch this fish I figured a new solution....

Your original post proclaims this as a solution to the cb nipping, not as a feeding tool. You then change gears a few posts later. I apologize of I misinterpreted the cb as copperband butterfly fish instead of coral beauty, CB is used for both often.

I want to clear up the use of stainless steel in an aquarium for any unsuspecting noob reading this and thinking its ok to put in a reef, it isn't.

Maybe the poster of the chicken wire was referring to the plastic coated screen style chicken wire, which would be appropriate to use.

So what you're saying just so I understand.... Your concern is that somebody new would read this thread and believe that it would be a good idea to surround their scolys in stainless steel chick wire?
Ps. I didn't bring chicken wire into this.

I just get tired of watching you post things, be rude to other people when they disagree with you then flip flop your point of view when you realize your wrong.

Look, all I was suggesting was that a glass globe effectively prevents nipping by a coral beauty. This got WAY off track. The end.

Your proclamation of stainless steel was clearly wrong, even though you dubbed yourself right.

You flip flopped on the original claim that this was a solution to cb Nipping because you can't catch the fish, quickly said no wait now it's only a feeding mechanism. Man up and say what you mean from the beginning or accept the comments of others.

You're right. My bad. I should be more considerate with posts. And you should as well.
