Why were my posts with my photos deleted? Or if they weren't I can't see them.

Posted photos last night and then like 2 hours ago. Always said reply successful and I could see them. Did I do something wrong with forum rules or something?

I moved them into their own thread: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/spots-on-clownfish.239358/

It was getting too confusing for me to keep track of your issue with all these other posts in-between. Plus, having your own thread with a specific issue garners more attention from other members.

You should have gotten an alert telling you this. o_O

I didn't say it was what happened in your case, but primarily that's what I have found
I know. Sorry if that is how it came across. I know you have 100x more experience than I do in quarantining, and in fact I read through a lot of your posts on the subject to create my protocol. But I would really like to find out what is causing my tangs to die at such small doses. Even the fish that do not die they loose the appetite and immediately start to hide a lot more...

That's so strange. Perhaps cupramine changed formula? I have returned to coppersafe perhaps that would help? good luck! :/

To my mind, there could be one of the following:

1- bad batch of Cupramine.
2- interaction with Tremazol. I find it strange given it is essentially Praziquantel and I only start cupramine a couple of weeks of doing the Tremazol treatment, a couple of large water changes and carbon.

Do not know...

My amazon order of PraziPro is finally here [emoji847][emoji847][emoji847].

Will use it for my next fish and this should help me determine if my casualties were a result of the interaction between Tremazol and Cupramine. I must say I find it unlikely because of what I already said, but we will see.

How do you guys feel about seeding a qt with pods before starting of prazi ?

I just tried it with a new batch of fish I ordered they are all eating well even after prazi keeping an eye on them now to see if I need to dose cupramine.

Do you have anything like rock or substrate in the QT which might be absorbing the copper?

One question: assuming you are using the Seachem copper test kit, did you wait 4min before taking the reading or did you try to color match right away? From my experience the test kit takes a while to develop the final color. When in doubt I trust more the drops than the test kit. The risk is that you keep adding to get to the right color and end up overshooting and killing the fish.

Ok, sorry for the stupid question but how can you tell that the concentration is 0,15 by comparing to the 0,50 reference...?

Im using the measure paper ,not just comparing the color , because i doubt that the test kit is not accurate .

According to my calculations, it would take 60 drops (3 mL) of Cupramine to get a 15 gal QT up to full therapeutic (0.5 mg/L). As per Seachem's directions, which are notoriously inaccurate so you may need to dose even more.

Well, the instructions state 32 drops per 40L. A 15 gallon is close to 60L so that would be 48 drops, not 60...?
