Hey everyone,

I absolutely love my tank, it’s a 170 gallon peninsula that’s been running for about 5 years. The issue is I’ve got a couple of fish glass surfing (purple tang and female blue throat trigger), and I suspect is due to stress from lack of swim throughs and hiding spaces.

Here’s a picture of it:

What’s the best way to redo my aquascape? For context, the right goni rock formation is solid and only the top allows for a swim throughs. The bottom left rock is half solid piece, but not large enough to allow my larger fish to swim through.

I’d appreciate any feedback.

Thanks!

Andrew

Ecoscapes rock looks cool and they have some cool rock designs worth checking out, chewy sells them. Could be a cool add on like a previous commenter’s said

Ecoscapes regular prices are lower on @premiumaquatics. If I were to add more rock to your scape, I would use @Eric Cohen from Tank Stop decorative live rocks. They are lightweight and interlock easily without having to glue or mortar. I think 5 LB would be enough of the deco live rock since it is lightweight. @Eric Cohen has a thread here that shows examples of the live rock he carries.

Thank you, I’ll check them out. I am super wary of ever using live rock again: I got ich from live rock from a local aquarium store and lost 75% of my fish. Was awful

Get from a trusted place like TBS. Your chances of getting ICH from TBS rock is next to none
