How to remove overflow grid

Hi, I wish to remove overflow grid for cleaning in a red sea. I pulled it but I cant remove it, please can you share some info, photos or video on how to do it?

Yeah, these things get stuck easily. I often just put something through the gaps and pull up.

Just to understand could you do some photos? Are there any plastic lock to push or I should just pull it up?

I use a thin knife and work the tip around along the edges. Gently prying up on each end usually does the trick. I have to clean GSP off mine every few weeks.
Alternate back and forth doing each end a little at a time or use two pry tools. I find found removing them every few weeks keeps them easy to get out vs waiting extended periods between cleanings.

I have some valonia inside, do you think I can put a mitrax in the overflow? :-)
