2 of my t5 sockets need to be replaced in my red sea c max hood and I couldnt find anything on how to replace them. And I know the sockets are fried because I put the bulb in a different socket and it worked. So how would I replace it and do I need a specific socket or I could buy one from home depot or somwhere.

Yep. Standard t5 HO tombstones/sockets. Remove power, depress the tab that keeps them in place (might have to remove fixture ends) and use a safety pin in the hole next to the wire to release it (usually present, sometimes not)
Wire it back in like for like.

If still doesnt work, youre looking at a ballast replacement.
