Hello,
I recently purchased a reef glass limewood airstone skimmer for my 10 gallon tank from premium aquatics. I read that the airstones should be replaced about every 2 to 3 months so when the time came I replaced the one that came with it with some that I bought off of ebay. Trying to save a little money I later realized that the airstones were not exactly the same dimensions as the ones from premium aquatics. I cut down the corners of the airstone and put it in the glass tube. After a week of use, the airstone had expanded from the water I imagine and I am unable to get it out of the tube. I've tried pushing hard, heating it in the oven (although not until the airstone was dry), and using a screwdriver and a hammer to try to push it through the tube. All have failed.
Does anyone know how to shrink limewood or have any suggestions for how to get this out? Thank you.

Jeff
