Hello. I recently purchased a s.gigantea anemone from a local reefer that came with a clownfish. According to the prior owner the anemone and clown have been together at least 9-10 years and the clown is 10-15 years old. That’s all I know of their history. The clown and anemone seem pretty small assuming their approximated ages are in the right ballpark. Also, the clown appears to have a humpback. Is this likely just a breeding defect? Malnutrition? Anything else I should think about? See pics, for reference, the anemone is about 5-6” across. Thanks!!

Well she seems healthy enough. I’ll just assume she’s unique and no special nutrition is needed. Perhaps she has been underfed in the past, she won’t have that concern going forward.

It’s a breeding defect and these fish are usually culled
Thanks! That’s what I suspected, but didn’t want to miss a nutritional deficit or something ‘fixable’ that might improve her health.
