After Sandy I connected my generator so it runs on gasoline and natural gas which I have in my house for cooking and heating. I also have 15 gallons of gas for my cars with another 100 gallons in my boat just in case.

Updated track shows it moving off shore. Good, I can do some Striper fishing this Sunday. Love fishing in snotty weather, except the surf is going to be chocolate milk.

I'm up in NJ as well and luckily, they say it is going out into the ocean. I went out and bought a little camping fold-up stove and sternos for canned foods and if I have to keep the water in the tank warm....of course, I lose power in my development if someone in the area sneezes to loud!

The poor people of the Bahamas are getting blasted down there! That hurricane has been hanging over them for the past 24+ hours

We were without power for 9 days after Wilma...our most prized possession then was an old fashioned coffee pot that we could brew fresh coffee with over a can of sterno!

I don't live on any coast, but in a city with a million trees. Every storm/ice storm brings down power lines. Best addition to my system besides the ato was a ginny. If the power goes out it usually is out for at least a day. As long as the tank is fully running and the beer is cold, I'm good.
