Yaaaay updates! Lol

Nothing major at this time other than I am having a slight outbreak of bryopsis. No biggie in just ordered a gallon of Kent tech m and started dosing tonight. One question though, is it supposed to have a brownish color to it with tiny particles floating around? Almost looks like dirt.

I just picked up a gallon off Amazon. It comes out milky after a good shaking. No brown stuff.

I shook mine up really good too. Its def more of a brown tint than white. Ill see if I can get a pic of it tonight.

So here are a couple pics of what the tech m looks like out of the jug after a good shake. It raised my mag from last nights dose so it def works haha.

I now have 350ml of pellets in my bio pellet reactor. Here is a short video of the tumble. I keep hearing different things on how they should tumble. Anyone care to share their suggestions on how mine are tumbling?

I decided to check out the dct pump and see how the internals were holding up after 1 month of use. Everything checked out perfect. No signs of wear and tear on the impeller magnet and the motor is fine as well.

Biopellets look fine and you can turn it up more if it clumps.

Are they growing on the sand bed? Just curious. I recently read a GARF article where they had success doing this.

Yes all my zoas grow out onto the sand bed. It males pruning so much easier haha

My 5 gallon ATO container came in today from synergy reef! Quality is top notch I am very impressed! The size of it is perfect and fits beside my sump inside my stand. I was hoping my new ato would be here today too but it didnt show up :-( so ill have another update after I get everything hooked up

I also have plans to add a kalk reactor to my frag system. Ill be having it dose via my ato. Pics to come as soon as my ato comes in

So far so good. I am at 400ml of pellets in the reactor and I am noticing less and less nusiance algae. I have a tiny bit of cyano on my sandbed but that is expected when just starting out with pellets. Im thinking another week or 2 and I should see the full effect of the pellets.

Yea this hobby is full of surprises. I guess it wouldn't be any fun or enjoyable without some downs to go along with the ups. What have you gone thru recently with your tank?

New batch of IO that mixed up at 800 Mg (And I didn't test until after I had added it to my tank) which dropped my MG to 1080, completely cleaned all the algae out of my Fuge and it reseeded itself in the aquarium and spiked my nutrients, had a thunderstorm brown out a few of the LEDs on my DIY fixture, ordered a few AI 26s and their director and the director had a bad power connection which would cause the lights to change constantly, ordered some new corals and found MEN (luckily this was during their Bayer dip and before I added them to the tank)....etc. So yeah it's been a hectic and expensive 2-3 months for me.

I'm pretty sure I've got things settled out now and moving in the right direction. Added a SURF to see how a UAS would react in my tank (not so great so far but it's still early). Changed my return pump to increase flow through my sump and I'm working on adding a manifold for my reactor similar to yours.
