Hydra 26 HD

What would be the best position to mount the Hydra 26? Vertical or horizontal for a 4 foot long 24 inch deep tank?

I have the same tank and I run x3 Hydra 26 lengthwise and it seems to give pretty good coverage, though I haven't tested with a PAR meter yet.

Coverage Specifications:

Maximum Spread - 24" x 24"

Recommended spread - 18" x 18"

My two outside fixtures are perpendicular to the tank, and the two inside fixtures are parallel
