Hydra 26 vs hydra 26 hd

I just bought a hydra 26 hd( I was told its hd) from a local reefer. The bar code just says hydra 26 no "hd" after it and i cant find it when I try to connect through my aifi app. Can anyome tell me if its a regular hydra or help me connect it if it is hd

I don't think mine have an HD on the barcode and I bought them new. They can be kind of a pain to connect to the first time but I just kept trying until I got it.

Any tips or tricks. I held the power button until blinkimg green and still nothing...my prime hd connects no prob

Did you try doing a factory reset?

The standard had only 5 leds per puck I believe :)

The Non Hd Hydra 26 has the same amount of leds I believe. The original is the one with less leds.

not yet. I read some stuff on ai's website that i will try tonight. I was trying to do it quickly yesterday so ill sit down tonight and give it a whirl. The previous owner did confirm it is an HD so assuming hes not lying its just operator error (i.e. me ha!) I currently have an ai prime hd connected so Im going to disconnect that and move closer to the router and factory reset and start there

I thought the only difference was it went from 4 to 3 whites and the replacement was a 3rd blue?

One thing I noticed is the indicator ligjt only ia red or green no blue like all the instructions say. I think iys a normal hydra not an hd :( thunkin i was lied to

Search for the network on your phone or laptop. If HD it should have a hydra address. If not, your gonna need a controller for it.

First pic is Non-HD, second pic is HD. Just took these today for my sale post. LEDs appear to look the same on both.

For me, my HD’s start with a D on the serial # on the sticker and my Non-HD look like your sticker. But before I scare you, download the app and see if it recognizes them.

Nope its a non hd one. Serial number should start with d###### You’ll need a controller or director for that one. Those are hard to find.. ask the person who sold u that if he have a controller. Director and an apex module is you need to control it over wifi.

Yup he's right. Just to check I went to look at the back of my HDs and sure enough the serial starts with D####. If it was "sold" as an HD, and it's not then go get your money back. Both grow corals but the HD is on another level. Different colour combo and the hyper drive as well as proven spectrums that you can get current feedback on. Just sayin.
